Approach and anchoring
Approach from Lake St. Clair via the head of the Detroit River, or upriver from Lake Erie. Strong river current, especially on the ebb, so plan berthing accordingly. Address 100 Meadowbrook Street, Detroit.
Practical
400 berths for boats from 30 to 60 feet, all with shore power and fresh water. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol, pumpout, laundry, showers, ship's store, full-service repair yard. Wifi, 24-hour security, outdoor pool, tiki bar with live music in season.
Ashore
Belle Isle Park, a 982-acre island park with aquarium and conservatory, lies on the river opposite. Downtown Detroit shopping and restaurants at 8 km west.
