River navigation on the Saône, no tide. Mud bottom, holding on anchor is fair. Sheltered from all cardinal directions by the river banks. Watch for passing barges and hire boats on the main channel.

Halte de Pontailler 0.1 NM south with pontoon, water and power. Les Canalous hire base 0.1 NM west, one of the main inland boat rental operators on the French waterways.

Village of Pontailler-sur-Saône at the foot of Mont Ardoux, bakery, grocery and restaurants within 400 m. Voie Bleue cycle route along the Saône passes through the village.
