Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east in settled weather. Bottom of sand and rock, so drop the anchor on sand patches and check the set. Sheltered from NW through N to SW, open to E and SE. Port de Cerbère lies 0.5 nm NW as a refuge, Banyuls-sur-Mer 3.2 nm NW.
Practical
No facilities. Day anchorage only. All supplies at Cerbère, 0.5 nm NW.
Ashore
The Cerbère-Banyuls marine reserve begins just north, the oldest marine reserve in metropolitan France, created in 1974. Underwater trail at Peyrefite beach, 1 nm NW. Coastal path GR 10 passes above the cove.
