Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north into the small Pultneyville harbour, the best protected port between Rochester and Sodus Bay. Approach depth about 7 feet, dockside depth about 5 feet. Reciprocal club membership required to take a transient berth.
Practical
84 berths in total with 5 transient, fixed and floating pontoons, suitable up to 40 feet LOA. 30 amp shore power, fresh water, WiFi, pumpout, heads and showers. Thursday evening club racing through the season.
History
Pultneyville was Wayne County's only port until the opening of the Erie Canal in 1823, and served coastal trade as far as New York and Boston. The hamlet was raided by British forces under Commodore Sir James Lucas Yeo on 15 May 1814 during the War of 1812.
