Approach and anchoring
Lake Madine is a freshwater reservoir with no tide and no commercial traffic. Approach by road or inland waterway from Nancy or Verdun. Enter the marina from the west shore of the lake, speed limited on the lake for non motor users. No VHF watch.
Practical
280 berths managed by the Lake Madine tourist authority. Water, electricity, sanitary block with showers, slipway, sailing school and boat hire on site. Restaurant and small shop at the base nautique. Nearest commercial harbours are on the Moselle canal: Kai Pagny s. Moselle 11.6 nm E and Pont S. Moussen 12.2 nm E.
Ashore
Lake Madine regional nature area with a marked walking and cycling loop of about 22 km around the lake. Sailing school and windsurf base at the port. American First World War cemetery of Saint Mihiel and Butte de Montsec memorial at about 6 km south, both free and open year round.
