Approach and anchoring
Approach from the S or E keeping clear of the rocks off the Cap Bénat. Sand bottom with patches of posidonia, holding fair on sand, avoid the seagrass. Shelter from N through E to SE. Exposed to the S and SW, untenable in a mistral backing to W.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no facilities. Port privé du Cap Bénat 2 NM E for private berths only. Port de Bormes-les-Mimosas 2.4 NM NE for water, fuel, provisions and all services.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral passes above the point, linking the Plage de Cabasson 1 km NW to the Plage de l'Estagnol 2 km S on foot. Fort de Brégançon 1.5 km NW, the official summer residence of the French President since 1968, visible from the sea but closed to visitors without booking.
