Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Rade de Villefranche by the NW. Anchor in sand patches between rocks in 5 to 10 m, clear of the swim zone lines in summer. Shelter is given from N through E to SE. Any swell or wind from S to W makes the anchorage untenable and rolly.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Port de Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat lies 0.7 nm to the NE with 560 berths, water, electricity and a fuel berth. The Darse de Villefranche at 1.2 nm to the NW takes visitors on a deep-water quay.
Ashore
The coastal footpath around Cap Ferrat starts at Plage de Passable and loops to Pointe Saint-Hospice in about 2 hours. The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and its nine gardens lies 1 km inland. The Villa Santo Sospir, decorated by Jean Cocteau, is also on the cape.
