Reached by water through the marsh channels off Bayou Terrebonne, or by road on Highway 665. The launch gives onto open marsh ponds known for redfish and speckled trout.

Boat launch ramp, kayak rental and live bait. Rooms with kitchenettes are available for anglers staying over. A basic working marina geared to fishing and paddling.
Ashore
The Pointe-aux-Chenes Wildlife Management Area lies alongside the marina, a marsh tract managed for waterfowl and a recognised birding site. The surrounding ponds and bayous are open marsh with little dry land.
