Rocky bottom, holding variable. Sheltered from NW, W and SW winds, exposed to the east. Lake level varies with EDF releases, check depth close inshore.
Practical
No marina services at the anchorage. Port de la Mercantine 1.2 nm to the SE and Port du Meix 2.6 nm to the N for fuel, water and moorings.
Ashore
Base nautique de Bellecin on the beach, run by the Jura regional council, with swimming area, canoe and paddle hire. Footpaths around the lake and viewpoint over the Vouglans dam gorge.
