Anchorage in the lee of the small island of Pinarellu, off the beach of the same name, on the east coast of Corsica about 10 NM north of Porto-Vecchio.

Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east between the island and the shore, sounding carefully. Sand bottom at 3 to 6 m, a Genoese tower stands on the islet as a shore mark. Protected from NW, N, W and SW, open to E and SE.
Practical
Mooring forain on sand, good holding. No facilities on the island or the beach. Nearest fuel and services at Marina di Fiori, 5,2 NM to the SW, or at Solenzara harbour further north.
Ashore
Dinghy landing on Pinarellu beach, with two or three beach restaurants in summer and the village 500 m inland with small shops. The 16th century Genoese tower on the islet is classified historic monument and can be reached by swimming or short tender ride.
History
The Tour de Pinarellu was built by the Republic of Genoa in the second half of the 16th century as part of the coastal watch system against Barbary raids. It has been a listed monument since 1983.
