Guide
Approach and anchoring
The harbour lies in Brickyard Cove, off the Southampton Shoal channel and the approaches to San Pablo Bay. The entrance is marked and dredged. VHF channel 16 for the harbour. Strong flood and ebb streams run through the Bay, so plan the approach around the tide.
Practical
Over 250 berths for a range of sizes, with maintenance docks, a fuel station and a members' lounge. Berths are reserved for club members. The clubhouse hosts the club's racing programme on the Bay.
History
The Richmond Yacht Club was incorporated in 1932 and moved through six locations before settling at Brickyard Cove. The first boats entered their berths here on 31 January 1965, and the harbour became members-only after a 1976 ruling.
