Approach and anchoring

Reached across the Lac de Pareloup, an artificial reservoir of 1 290 hectares at 805 m altitude, the largest lake in Occitanie. Maximum draught 1.45 m. No tidal constraint, water level managed by EDF for hydroelectric production.

Practical

6 berths at the pontoon. Sailing and motor boating allowed on the lake with a speed limit in force. Village shops of Salles-Curan or Canet-de-Salars nearby depending on the shore.

Ashore

Swimming beaches around the lake shore, notably at Les Vernhes and Caussanel. Sailing schools operate on the lake in season. Village of Salles-Curan at 5 km with a 15th century fortified church and the summer residence of the bishops of Rodez.
