Approach and anchoring
Reach the wharf by following Onancock Creek inland from the bay. The marina sits in the centre of town. VHF 16.
Practical
Twelve berths on a floating dock plus a long bulkhead for larger power and sail vessels. Water, shore power, petrol, diesel and pump-out are available, along with private heads and showers and free use of washer and dryer. A courtesy car and golf carts for hire serve marina guests. Open mid-March to mid-November.
Ashore
The wharf is in the heart of Onancock's historic district, walkable for shops and restaurants. Ker Place, a Federal house museum built around 1799 to 1803, is run by the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society.
