Approach and anchoring
Reached from Barnegat Bay through the Forked River channel, dredged to about 7 ft at low water. The bay itself is shallow, with 4 to 5 ft a sensible working draught. Watch for shifting shoals and weed in the bay.
Practical
Around 110 berths for boats over 60 ft. There is a fuel berth, dry rack storage with launch service, a clubhouse, laundry and showers. Certified Yamaha and Mercury dealer with a repair shop. Lanoka Harbor and J & E Marine Repair lie about 0.2 to 0.3 nm to the west.
Ashore
A Freedom Boat Club base operates from the marina. The shops and services of Route 9 are within walking distance for everyday provisions.
