Approach and anchoring
Enter from Lake Ontario through Oak Orchard Harbor at Point Breeze. Follow the creek south for 0.7 mile, club berths on the west side at 1103 Archbald Road, Waterport. Approach depth 9 ft, dockside 12 ft. The wide creek runs between wooded banks, generally calmer than the open lake.
Practical
46 fixed berths including 4 transient, largest vessel 40 ft. 30 A shore power, free fresh water and WiFi. Transient rate 20 USD for the first night, second night free. Bar and restaurant open to members and visiting boaters. Pickleball courts on site. Telephone +1 585 682 9793.
Ashore
Oak Orchard Lighthouse Museum at Point Breeze, 1 mile downstream. Lakeside Beach State Park 6 km west along the lake. Oak Orchard River is ranked among North America's top trout and salmon rivers, stocked yearly with chinook, coho and steelhead by the New York DEC.
History
The club has occupied this sheltering harbour on the creek since the summer of 1938. It welcomes both sail and power, with social memberships for non-boaters.
