Guide

Approach and anchoring

The bay opens to the east and north-east, with shelter from the western half of the compass. It lies on Lake Michigan's Green Bay so there is no tide. Anchor off the sand beach clear of the swimming and launch area.

Practical

Nicolet Beach has a seasonal camp store, snack bar, boat launch and kayak and paddleboard rentals. Anderson's Dock and the Ephraim Yacht Club lie about 2.1 to 2.2 nm to the east at Ephraim for berths and provisions.

Ashore

Peninsula State Park surrounds the bay with eight miles of shoreline, hiking and cycling trails, 150-foot bluffs and the Eagle Bluff lighthouse. The village of Ephraim, about 2 nm east, has shops and restaurants.
