Approach and anchoring

The marina sits on a barrier island, with the Atlantic beaches reachable on foot and the ICW close by. The approach channel carries a controlling depth of about 7 feet. Land access is through a guarded gate on South Ocean Drive, the A1A, where security issues a temporary pass to marina visitors.

Practical

Berths for vessels up to 100 feet, with a few spaces taking up to 120 feet. A fuel dock supplies petrol and propane. On site there is a restaurant, a market with bakery and deli, and a hair salon, all inside the gated community.

Ashore

The Atlantic shore lies a short walk across the barrier island. The Nettles Island community holds its own shops and dining within the gate, so no road trip is needed for everyday provisions.
