Approach and anchoring
Reached via the Nantes-Brest canal, a 364 km inland waterway with 238 locks. Freshwater mud bottom, good holding. Sheltered except from the SW down the canal axis. Malestroit 4.5 NM to the south offers a full halte nautique with facilities.
Practical
No services at the mooring itself. Village of Montertelot on the left bank with a bar-restaurant and a small grocery shop. Lock-keeper controls the adjacent lock during canal opening hours. Next halte at Malestroit 4.5 NM south with water and electricity.
Ashore
Voie verte V3 towpath along the canal, open to walkers and cyclists the full length of the Nantes-Brest. Montertelot church rebuilt in the 19th century on older foundations. Malestroit medieval town 4.5 NM south with half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th centuries.
