Approach and anchoring
Sand holding. Shelter from NW, N and NE which are the dominant land winds; open to the S, SE and E swell that runs along the Ligurian coast. Keep clear of the harbour approach channels of the Vieux-Port and of Garavan.

Forain anchoring, no services on the spot. Menton Vieux-Port lies 0.5 NM NE and Menton-Garavan 1.1 NM NE, both with berths, water, power and fuel inside.
Ashore
Old town of Menton at 500 m from the Vieux-Port, with the Basilique Saint-Michel-Archange from the 17th century and the Jean Cocteau museum on the seafront. Jardin Serre de la Madone and Jardin du Val Rahmeh, both listed Jardins remarquables, at 1 to 2 km inland.
History
Menton was part of the Principality of Monaco until 1848 and was finally attached to France in 1861 after a referendum. The town hosts the Fête du Citron every February, created in 1934.
