Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Western Basin through the channels behind Reno Beach, well inside the shallow western end of Lake Erie. The basin is connected by water to the West Annex on the Cooley Canal.

Seasonal and transient dock rentals across a large basin. Boat lifting and launching, emergency towing, bottom painting, shrink-wrapping and winter storage. Marine, convenience and tackle stores on site, with seasonal and transient campsites.
Ashore
The Western Basin is a noted walleye and bass fishery. Maumee Bay State Park, with a beach and trails on the Lake Erie shore, lies a short drive to the north-west.
