Approach and anchoring

Enter the Vieux-Port through the north pass below Fort Saint-Jean via the marked channel. Maximum draught 5 m in the basin. Heavy traffic from Frioul If ferries and fire service launches, which have right of way. Harbour on VHF 77.

Practical

750 berths managed by the club. Fuel berth on the Vieux-Port open to visitors. Water, electricity and sanitary blocks on the pontoons. Vieux-Port metro station 300 m away, shops and rue Saint-Ferréol shopping street 500 m.

Ashore

MuCEM and Fort Saint-Jean 600 m on foot along quai du Port. Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde basilica 1.3 km up from the Pharo. Le Panier quarter and Major cathedral 1 km north. Fish market on quai des Belges every morning.

History

CNTL was founded in 1944. The Vieux-Port itself, the Greek Lacydon, has been used since the Phocaeans founded Massalia around 600 BC, making it one of the oldest working harbours in the Mediterranean.
