Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Patapsco River along the well-marked main harbour channel, then north into the Canton basin. Deep, sheltered water throughout the inner harbour with no tidal restriction; the Chesapeake here has a tidal range under 0.5 metres.

Practical

Floating docks for monthly leases and short-term dockage. Same operator builds floating docks, launch ramps and wave attenuators. West Marine and an Ace Hardware are within walking distance, with a Safeway supermarket nearby.

Ashore

The Canton Waterfront Park runs along the shore beside the marina. Bars and restaurants of Canton Square are about 700 metres inland, and Fells Point is roughly 1.5 km west along the harbour promenade.
