Private marina on Braddock Bay, south shore of Lake Ontario, in the town of Greece west of Rochester, New York.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter Braddock Bay from Lake Ontario through the marked channel. The bay was extensively dredged from 2019 onwards but the outer bar still shoals after storms. Approach in daylight on a first visit and watch for the wildlife management area markers on either side of the entrance.
Practical
About 100 berths on a floating pontoon system installed after the 2019 dredge. Potable water, 15 and 30 amp shore power, low-level dock lighting and Wi-Fi. Heads, showers and the launch ramp are accessed by member key fob. No fuel berth on site. The town-owned marina across the bay and Braddock Bay Tavern up Salmon Creek both sell petrol.
Ashore
Braddock Bay Wildlife Management Area surrounds the bay with 2,500 acres of marsh and is a major spring raptor migration site, with hawks and owls counted by the thousand each season. Four restaurants within a short drive, including the Braddock Bay Tavern accessible by tender up Salmon Creek.
