Approach and anchoring
Enter Alamitos Bay through the breakwater off Seal Beach. The clubhouse and member berths lie on the southwest shore of the bay, just inside Lido Lane.
Practical
Member berthing and reciprocal berths for visiting club members by prior arrangement. Year-round programme of races, junior sailing and social events at the clubhouse.
History
Founded 1929 with its first headquarters at the Pacific Coast Club downtown. The club moved to its current Alamitos Bay site in 1959 after the 1931 San Gabriel River bridge had restricted access to the bay for 28 years. Hosts the Congressional Cup match-racing regatta since 1965, regarded as the grandfather of club match racing.
