Approach and anchoring

Enter from the middle of the opening on the west side of the ICW, south of unlighted daybeacon 74. Follow the southern side of the lake towards the back of the cove in about 10 feet at low water, then work towards the north shore to anchor. The lake is well enclosed and holds in bad weather; expect heavy boat traffic by day and quiet nights.

Practical

Boathouse Marine Center lies 0.2 nm NW with repair and service facilities. Freedom Boat Club Pompano Oceanside is 0.5 nm SE. Lake Santa Barbara Park is on the northwest corner, where shore access has been reported although there is no dinghy dock. From there it is one block to US 1 and downtown Pompano Beach.
