Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Intracoastal Waterway near mile 1054. It is the closest dry-stack facility to the Hillsboro Inlet, with no fixed bridges between the marina and the inlet, so ocean access is direct. The Hillsboro Inlet gives about 7 metres of water out to the Atlantic; the A1A bascule bridge over the inlet has 4 metres of closed clearance.

Practical

Dry-stack storage for boats up to 13 metres, with covered racks for around 331 boats. The fuel berth sells REC90 petrol and diesel. The yard handles boat repair and launching, and the building is rated to withstand Category 4 hurricane winds. Office open daily 0800 to 1700.

Ashore

Pompano Beach town centre and shops lie within a short drive west. The Atlantic beachfront and Hillsboro Lighthouse are a 15-minute run north up the Intracoastal.
