Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south through the Chenal des Sept-Îles. Sand bottom, good holding. Sheltered from NW through N to NE, exposed to S and SW. Strong tidal streams run between the islands on springs. Port de Ploumanac'h 3.2 nm S, Perros-Guirec 4.8 nm S.
Practical
No facilities on Bono. No landing on the main bird reserve island of Rouzic, but Bono beach is open to dinghies outside the breeding season.
Ashore
The Sept-Îles nature reserve is the largest seabird reserve in France, home to the only gannet colony on the French coast, about 20 000 pairs on Rouzic. Puffins, razorbills and grey seals visible in season. Reserve rules forbid landing on Rouzic year-round and on Malban during breeding season.
