Marina on Bogue Sound at Salter Path, North Carolina, just off the Intracoastal Waterway with around 70 slips, a seafood market and a pub.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the ICW across Bogue Sound, with Bogue and Beaufort inlets both within easy range. The sound is shallow and current-swept, so stay in the marked channel on the approach. The marina sits on the back side of Bogue Banks at Salter Path.
Practical
Roughly 70 slips with water hook-up and boat hoists. Ethanol-free petrol on site but no diesel and no mechanic. Boat rentals and fishing charters available. The pub serves food alongside an on-site seafood market.
History
The marina was rebuilt after Hurricane Ophelia destroyed Fiorini's scallop house and damaged other waterfront buildings at Salter Path in 2005, when the owner added slips, fuel and a shop.
