Approach and anchoring
Enter from Lake Erie at the mouth of Cattaraugus Creek, the natural break in the bluffs marking Sunset Bay. The creek mouth shoals after spring run-off and silts up most years, so check local dredging status before approaching with deeper draught.
Practical
Wet berths, dry storage, fuel berth and mechanical workshop on site. Snows Marina lies 0.2 nm north-west on the same creek as a back-up. Address 916 Exchange Street, Irving NY 14081.
Ashore
Sunset Bay beach bars and lakefront restaurants line the south bank within 500 m. Evangola State Park beach is 7 km north-east along the lakeshore.
