Approach and anchoring
Approach from the navigable channel of the Saône. Moor along the quay near the road bridge that links Montmerle to Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne. No lock at the halt itself. Watch for current, especially after rain.
Practical
Quay with bollards, limited pontoon capacity for visitors. Water on the quay. No fuel berth. Bakery, small shops and restaurants in the village within 300 m.
Ashore
Village centre and église Saint-Étienne a few minutes on foot. Véloroute V50 Voie Bleue along the Saône passes directly at the halt, allowing rides north to Mâcon or south to Lyon. Footbridge across the Saône to Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne.
