Guide

Approach and anchoring

Approach from Boca Ciega Bay. The bottom is sand with good holding, but the bay has enough fetch to turn choppy in a fresh breeze. The anchorage is open to wind from the north and north-east.

Practical

Fresh water can be taken at the nearby marinas. A free dinghy dock sits in town behind the Gulfport Casino, with a four-hour limit.

Ashore

The dinghy dock lands within an easy walk of restaurants, a brewery and coffee shops along Beach Boulevard. Gulfport Municipal Marina lies 0.7 nm to the east.
