Approach and anchoring
Enter Fairport Harbor from Lake Erie between the breakwater piers, marked at the pierheads. Authority docks on the east bank of the Grand River near the lighthouse. The harbour is also a working cargo port handling iron ore, sand and gravel; give way to commercial traffic.

Public boat launch with single ramp 12 USD, dual ramp 17 USD, large vessel 17 USD. Transient docking 10 USD for 4 hours, 20 USD daily, 50 USD weekly, 150 USD monthly. Seasonal pass 275 USD. Public fuel berth nearby.
Ashore
Fairport Harbor Marine Museum and Lighthouse 200 metres from the docks; tower rebuilt in 1871, 60 feet high with a 69-step spiral stair, listed on the National Register since 1971. Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park beach and Headlands Beach State Park within 2 km.
