Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter from Lake Erie at the Chagrin River breakwaters at Eastlake, then run upriver to the club basin. River channel is narrow, keep to the marked centreline.
Practical
Over 200 slips for members and reciprocal guests, fuel berth, shore power, fresh water. Clubhouse with bar, restaurant and outdoor deck, heads and showers in the clubhouse. Concrete launch ramp.
Ashore
Chagrin River Park, with riverside trails and a fishing area, lies 6 km upstream. Headlands Beach State Park, Ohio's longest natural beach at 1.6 km, is 12 km east along the lakefront.
History
The club traces its origins to 1939 and the leisure boating boom that followed the dredging of the Chagrin River mouth, and is one of the older organised yacht clubs on Ohio's Lake Erie shore.
