Approach and anchoring
Approached from East Grand Traverse Bay. The harbour, also known as Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor, lies between two sand beaches at the mouth of the Elk River.
Practical
213 berths from 25 to 70 feet, with around 50 kept for transient boats. A 14-day stay limit applies in peak season. Fuel berth supplies ethanol-free petrol and premium diesel, both with ValvTect additive. Pump-out at the fuel berth. A further 52 berths sit on Elk Lake.
Ashore
The village shops and restaurants of Elk Rapids are a short walk from the harbour. The Antrim County Chain of Lakes, reached through the Elk River, opens up inland cruising on Elk Lake.
