Approach and anchoring
Lies in sheltered Edgewood Harbor on the Cranston shore. Rhode Island Yacht Club is 0.5 miles south and Pawtuxet Cove Marina 0.7 miles south.
Practical
Mooring field of around 100 buoys of varying sizes. A launch serves members and visitors on moorings from 8am to sunset through the boating season. Clubhouse with bar and function space.
Ashore
Edgewood Sailing School runs youth and adult courses from the same campus, with beginners sailing Optimist dinghies inside the calm marina basin.
History
The club traces back to the Edgewood Boat Club of 1885. Fire destroyed the clubhouse in 1908 and again in January 2011, when lightning struck during a snowstorm. A new clubhouse opened in summer 2018.
