Guide

Approach and anchoring

Approach through the Port Washington Narrows, watching the current under the road bridges and traffic in the channel. A shallow patch known as Clam Island lies off east Silverdale. Monitor depths near the Silverdale waterfront where local shoals can catch a deeper draught.

Practical

Anchoring on a mud bottom inside the inlet, which gives sheltered holding with room to swing. Fresh water is available. Port Orchard Yacht Club lies 0.1 miles to the south-east and Yachtfish Marine 0.2 miles to the south.
