Approach and anchoring
The entrance opens off the Lydia Ann Channel and the ship channel, marked by granite jetties that enclose the harbour. The basin takes vessels up to 100 feet overall with about 8 feet of draught.
Practical
Roughly 240 to 250 fixed and floating berths over 12 docks, short and long-term plus daily hire. There are 8 launch ramps, a fish-cleaning station, ice, laundry, public heads, showers for berth holders, a captains' lounge and free Wi-Fi.
Ashore
The harbour sits within the 50-acre Roberts Point Park. A bulkhead path around the point serves walkers, joggers and cyclists, with palapas and benches, and anglers fish the jetties for redfish, black drum and sea trout.
