Approach and anchoring
Navigation on the Canal de la Marne au Rhin branche ouest. The halte is on the left bank in the town, between the écluse 16 and écluse 17, lock operations via VNF remote control. Approach at canal speed, five km/h limit.
Practical
Eight spaces along a refurbished wooden quay with mooring rings and benches. No fuel on site. Shops, bakery, pharmacy, bank and restaurants within 400 m in the town centre. Train station on the Nancy to Metz line at 600 m.
Ashore
Brasserie de Champigneulles, founded in 1897, still active, rue de la Vieille-Cour at 800 m, outside shop for visits. Forêt domaniale de Haye, edge of the forest at 2 km W, signposted walking paths. Nancy city centre by train in 10 minutes, Place Stanislas listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
History
Champigneulles grew with the brewery industry from the end of the 19th century. The Brasserie de Champigneulles, founded in 1897, has marked the town skyline with its industrial buildings and kept an output of several hundred thousand hectolitres a year.
