Approach and anchoring
Navigation under VNF authority. Gabarit Freycinet: maximum length 38,50 m, beam 5,05 m, draught 1,80 m, air draught 3,50 m. Nineteen locks along the canal. Bottom of rock, weed and mud; bank mooring only, never in the channel.
Practical
No dedicated services at this mooring. Halte de Châtelet-sur-Loing 3,1 nm S, Halte de Montargis 4,5 nm S with water and power points.
Ashore
The canal was opened in 1723 and follows the Loing valley. Towpath open to cyclists and walkers, part of EuroVelo 3 Scandibérique. Village of Nemours with its 12th-century castle upstream, Montargis known for its praslines Mazet confectionery since 1636 downstream.
