Approach and anchoring
Reached from the ICW by heading upriver from Port Everglades, past the Andrews Avenue and FEC railway bridges. The yard sits on the south bank at 2491 W State Road 84. Bridges along the New River have restricted opening schedules, plan the run with the tide and the bridge timetable.
Practical
Repair and refit yard with travel lift, painting, mechanical and electrical work. Not a transient marina, vessels come in for haul-out or scheduled work. Booking is by phone with the yard office. Operating since 1983 as the second site of Cable Marine.
Ashore
State Road 84 marine corridor, with several chandleries and yacht services along the strip. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport is 4 km south, useful for owners flying in to meet their boat.
