Guide
Approach and anchoring
Anchorage is limited and lies in the outer harbour in 24 to 42 feet of water, north of Tumbler Island and off McKown Point, inside the no-wake zone. Mooring buoys and transient berths are widely available; sand bottom. The harbour is open to the north quadrant.
Practical
Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club, 0.2 miles to the south, offers visitor moorings with launch service, showers, laundry and dining. Carousel Marina, also 0.2 miles south, has transient dockage. Downtown berths and provisions are within the harbour.
Ashore
The town centre runs along the waterfront with shops, restaurants and a regular calendar of summer events. The footbridge across the inner harbour links the two shores. Boat trips to nearby islands and to Damariscove run through the season.
