Approach and anchoring
Approach from the E keeping south of the Finocchiarola islets, which are a bird reserve with landing restrictions from March to August. Sand bottom in 3 to 7 m, good holding. Sheltered from W and NW, exposed to the E and to the libeccio swell that wraps round Cap Corse.
Ashore
Plage de Tamarone has a seasonal paillote and connects directly to the Sentier des douaniers, a coastal footpath running north to Barcaggio via the Tour de Santa Maria. Macinaggio village and its shops are 0.9 NM S.
