Approach and anchoring

Approach from the main channel of the Golfe du Morbihan between the Île aux Moines and the Île d'Arz. Strong tidal streams run through the gulf, up to 8 knots on the spring ebb at the narrows of Port-Blanc. Plan entry and exit around slack water. No buoyed channel into the anse itself, watch the chart for drying rocks on the southern edge.

Practical

Anchor on sand in 2 to 5 metres at low water. Holding is reasonable but the ground becomes patchy close to shore. Shelter from NW, W and SW winds, exposed to the east. In easterly weather move across to Kerners-Bilouris, 1.2 nm SW, or Le Logeo, 1.7 nm S.

Ashore

Landing by tender on the beach. The coastal path around the Île aux Moines passes above the anse and links the villages of Le Bourg and Pointe du Trech. Bakery, small grocery and restaurants in Le Bourg, around 1.5 km on foot.
