Anchorage on the south-west shore of Lac d'Orient, Aube, close to the marina of Mesnil-Saint-Père. Weed bottom.

Approach and anchoring
Inland lake, no tide. Open to E, SE, S, SW and W winds, only partial shelter from the north. Drop the hook clear of the marked channel to the harbour. Port de Mesnil-Saint-Père 0.9 nm SW, Club nautique Haute-Seine 1.9 nm NW.
Practical
Anchor on weed in 2 to 4 metres, holding variable, check the set. Mesnil-Saint-Père harbour less than a mile away has pontoons with water and electricity, slipway, sailing school, hire boats and a restaurant on the quay.
Ashore
Village of Mesnil-Saint-Père with shops and bakery. Maison du Parc de la Forêt d'Orient to the south at Piney gives access to 70 km of waymarked trails across the three lakes of the park.
