Anchorage on the north shore of Lac d'Orient, Aube, part of the Forêt d'Orient regional nature park. Weed bottom.

Approach and anchoring
Inland lake, no tide. Open water with limited shelter: holding is reduced by the weed bottom and exposure spans N to NW and sweeping round to E. Club nautique Haute-Seine 0.6 nm S, Port de Mesnil-Saint-Père 2.4 nm SE as refuges.
Practical
Anchor on weed in 2 to 4 metres, reset the anchor if it drags. No services at the anchorage itself. Mesnil-Saint-Père harbour has water, slipway, sailing school and restaurants.
Ashore
Within the Parc Naturel Régional de la Forêt d'Orient. Bird observatory on the lake's northern branch, Réserve de la Forêt d'Orient designated for cranes and ospreys. Signposted forest tracks for walking and cycling along the shore.
