Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south clear of the coastal rocks east of Cap Garonne. Anchor on sand in 4 to 8 metres, but the weed reaches further than the charts show, so hunt out a clear sand patch, and keep off the shore edge where rock lies close in. Shelter from NW, N and NE winds. Exposed to the S and SE, and it rolls readily even in a light wind.

Practical

No facilities at the anchorage. Port des Oursinières 1.2 NM SE has visitor berths and water. Saint-Louis du Mourillon at Toulon 3 NM W for fuel and full services.

Ashore

Plage de la Garonne at 300 m by dinghy, with a restaurant behind the beach and a naturist stretch west of the supervised bathing area. Musée de la Mine de Cap Garonne at 1.5 km, former copper mine worked from 1862 to 1917, now open to visitors. Sentier du littoral along the Pradet coast east toward Carqueiranne.
