Guide

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south, keeping clear of the rocks along the cape. Sheltered from N, NE, W and NW, exposed to the south and southeast, and often subject to some swell. Bottom of sand with patches of posidonia, so look for a clear sandy spot before dropping the hook. Two mooring buoys off the cove are reserved for divers. The spot draws divers, canoes and paddleboards and fills by mid-morning, so arrive early and keep well clear of divers in the water.

Practical

Forain anchorage with no facilities. Port des Oursinières lies 1.6 NM to the southeast for fuel, water and provisions. Saint-Louis du Mourillon is 2.5 NM to the west.

Ashore

A cave at the head of the cove is used for bouldering and rock climbing. The cove sits within the Corniche du Pradet coastal path, which runs along the cliffs between Les Oursinières and La Garonne beach. Landing by dinghy gives access to the path and to the hamlet of Le Pradet within walking distance.
