River anchorage on the Petite Saône off Rupt-sur-Saône, a village in Haute-Saône dominated by its 11th-century keep.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Sand bottom. Anchorage sheltered from NW, N, NE and E; exposed to the southerly quadrant. Stay clear of the marked navigable channel and of commercial barges. A concrete sheet-pile wall about 50 m long runs along the bank by the bridge, a short walk from the village, and can be used to lie alongside, though no bollards or rings have been reported, so rig lines to the piling.
Practical
No services. Port de Chassey-lès-Scey lies 1.9 NM E and the Halte Fluvial de Scey-sur-Saône 2.1 NM NE, both with pontoons, water and electricity.
History
Rupt-sur-Saône is marked by a medieval keep dating from the 11th century, built by the lords of Rupt and still visible from the river.
