Approach and anchoring
On the Petite Saone downstream of Port-sur-Saone lock and upstream of Scey-sur-Saone lock. Freycinet gauge. Automatic lock chain, call by VNF rod at the approach. Current weak except during freshets.
Practical
Quay with around 10 berths alongside, just past the marina, and mooring here is free of charge. No water or electricity reported on the quay, and diesel to be had nearby is dear. Village of Scye has no shop, nearest bakery and grocery at Port-sur-Saône, 4 km by road.
Ashore
Towpath along the Saone on EuroVelo 6 from the Atlantic to the Black Sea, open to cyclists and walkers. Halte fluviale of Scey-sur-Saone 3.1 NM SW has shops and a restaurant. Chateau de Ray-sur-Saone, 15th to 19th century, stands 8 km upstream above the river.
