Approach and anchoring
Shallow approach from the Rade d'Hyères across Les Salins. Max draught 0.6 m at the entrance, suitable only for shoal-draught craft, small motorboats and tenders. Berths on the private breakwater are held by military personnel and a handful of former fishermen's houseboats, with no space for visitors. VHF 9.
Practical
Fuel station on site. Port du Gapeau lies 0.5 nm SW and Port de Porquerolles ferries depart from the nearby Tour Fondue. Grocery and bakery in Les Salins village within walking distance.
Ashore
Salins d'Hyères nature site at the back of the port, part of the Conservatoire du littoral land, known for flamingos and migratory birds. Plage des Salins runs south of the port for about 2 km of sand.
